Mike Bryant is a strategic business consultant in the high-tech electronics industry specializing in Quality Management System (QMS) implementation. He helps customers succeed by leveraging best management practices coupled with manufacturing and technology excellence.
Mike is currently interim Quality Manager at LithiumStart, LLC. Prior to LithiumStart, Mike implemented and sustained ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems at Centellax, General Dynamics, Schilling Robotics, JDSU and Hewlett-Packard. At JDSU, he led the Quality, Metrology, Documentation, Learning Systems, and Incoming Inspection teams as well as the Lean-Sigma program. Employed at HP for more than 22 years, Mike developed and refined numerous processes in R&D, manufacturing, materials, and quality.
In the international arena, Mike lived in Singapore and established HP's Solution Services Division's manufacturing process consulting operation in Asia. His efforts to improve quality, reduce costs, and reduce new product introduction times took him from China to New Zealand.
As an HP Materials Manager, his team provided technical assistance to design and manufacturing engineers in the selection and qualification of purchased components and suppliers. He led strategic procurement process development and served on HP-wide international procurement teams.
Mike holds an MSEE in electronics from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. His BSEE degree is in solid-state physics from the U.S. Naval Academy. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering, a certified American Production and Inventory Control Society CPIM and an ASQ-certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
